Aromatherapy isn’t just about pleasant smells—it’s about using essential oils to support your body, mind, and spirit in a gentle, natural way. The oils work with your senses and nervous system, helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and more resilient. In my practice, I often combine aromatherapy with massage, acupuncture, or other therapies to enhance relaxation and healing.
Raindrop Therapy and Symphony of the Cells are two protocols I frequently use. Raindrop Therapy applies carefully selected oils along the spine in a precise sequence, with massage techniques to work on muscles, the nervous system and relax the whole back before beginning other treatments such as deep tissue massage. It can reduce tension, ease stress, support the immune system, and even improve sleep. Symphony of the Cells is a more targeted approach, using essential oils in a specific way for each body system. These protocols are for digestion, emotional regulation, western medical diagnoses like auto immune disorders or fibromyalgia. Clients often report feeling lighter, more centered, and more in tune with their body after treatment.
Essential oils are only as effective as they are pure. “Impure” oils can cause headaches or other negative effects, which usually happens when oils are diluted, contain additives, or have lost their natural vitality during distillation. In aromatherapy, oils that are “dead” no longer retain the plant’s life force. Truly pure oils come from healthy plants grown in good soil, carefully distilled, and tested for quality with methods like Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and heavy metals analysis.
In my practice, I use DoTerra and Young Living oils because they are consistent, effective, and recommended by trusted professionals. Some of my go-to oils include:
Aroma Siez/AromaTouch – a blend of basil, lavender, cypress, marjoram, and peppermint. Used in Raindrop Therapy, it relaxes muscles, increases circulation, supports digestion, eases headaches, and clears the mind.
Lavender – calming and grounding. Perfect for clients who arrive stressed, rushed, or anxious. Also helpful for minor cuts, bruises, and burns.
Thieves/OnGuard – a blend of clove, cinnamon bark, rosemary, lemon, and eucalyptus radiata. Traditionally used to boost immunity and support wellness. Its story traces back to the Black Plague, when thieves reportedly used the blend to avoid illness.
The oils I use in sessions are chosen for results. Peppermint can relieve headaches. Lavender calms the nervous system. Aroma Siez and Thieves address multiple concerns at once. Aromatherapy is about creating a space where your body can release tension, your mind can settle, and your spirit can feel nourished.
Whether through Raindrop Therapy, Symphony of the Cells, or carefully applied oils during massage, aromatherapy invites you to breathe, release, and reconnect with your body. It’s gentle, supportive, and effective—a tool to help you feel more balanced and at ease in your daily life.
